After completing coverage of the first two years of the Batman’s career, it is with much regret and sadness that we announce that Legends of the Batman has come to an end. Circumstances (a.k.a. life) have changed the best laid plans, and this show can no longer continue. So, we must offer a final, fond farewell.
The show’s archives will remain online until for at least the next few months, so please feel free to re-listen and re-enjoy the Bat-magic. You can also still catch Michael B. regularly on The Thrilling Adventures of Superman and Green Lantern’s Light, and we hope you’ll check those out, as well as the many fine shows linked on the right.
Once more, a huge thank you to everyone who downloaded the show, plugged us, wrote in, left reviews and comments, and, most importantly, listened week after week. You folks are the greatest!
When I saw the delay in the next podcast I feared the worst.
Mike squared, congratulations on some of the finest blogging and podcasting of the earliest adventures of the Batman mythos ever! Everything about this has been top notch and you will be sorely missed. I will be listening to your podcasts as much as possible until they are taken down you can be sure of that.
Best of luck in the future! Carpe nox!
I am getting a little tired of listening to shows in which the hosts decide they need to do several different shows a month, then get over their head and have to quit shows. It’s really annoying.
James, it isn’t so much an “in over our heads” situation, but unexpected developments in real-life that need to take priority over podcasting and comics. The most we can do is apologize and hope you’ve enjoyed the shows we were able to do.
I died a little bit from absolute sadness and melancholy. I had just gotten back into listening to your podcast regularly. Well, that stinks. Hope every thing works out in your personal lives though.
So does this mean you guys will no longer be doing your other shows either?
Really sorry to hear this. Obviously real life has to take precedence, but I’ll definitely miss this podcast. Hopefully someday, someone else will come along and take up the mantle where you guys left off.
In the meantime, thanks so much for the two years of free entertainment; Michael B., good luck with your other podcasts; and Michael K., best of luck with your real life situation, whatever it might be.
I’m really gonna miss this show. This and “Amazing Spider-Man Classics” were my two favorite comic book related podcasts. Sadly both are now gone. Hopefully things work out for Michael K. I’m not much of a fan of Green Lantern OR Superman (blasphemy, I know) but good luck with your other podcasts Michael B.
I’m definitely going to miss listening to the two of your wonderful insights and retrospective look at the totally awesome Batman… I can only hope that whatever has happened in real life, is not anything super serious, and that you both are OK- and hopefully maybe you can get back together eventually to continue the show?
-I guess I just wanted to say thank you so much for all of the super awesome little eargasms you have given me 🙂

Blimey, I am late to the party. I’ve just discovered the show with your final podcast … or is it all a dream?
Anyway, I shall work my way through the archive, thanks for putting the work in, and be well.
Please don’t let this be the end. To safeguard the podcasts, I’ve downloaded them to my computer so I can listen to them. I would hate to have this site removed and the podcasts lost forever. Please, don’t say this is the end. I hope you will return. With the Dark Knight Rising, certainly you could rise again as well. There is so much more Batman to talk about.
